A clean, straightforward writing app

I have enjoyed using Byword and consider it the best MarkDown app available. I especially like how there is a Mac and iPad version with multiple ways of sharing documents. This is extremely helpful for me when I take meeting notes, jot down random thoughts, or make lists. The app stays out of the way but is there when you need it.
