The app has some useful features, especially the undo button, which puts it ahead of others. The interface is simple and mostly intuitive.

However, Ive had tons of trouble with exported files being unreadable by my Mac. It took buying separate writing software for my computer and using Microsoft word instead of Pages to be able to use Byword seamlessly.

Now, the big issue is scrolling through larger files. Once a piece reaches a few pages the scroll skips back up or down, whichever is opposite of the direction is actually being scrolled. This can be frustrating since a lot of time is wasted in the app just trying to find a desired location in the text.
